Grace to Go Takes a Vacation!

Now that the kids are out of school and schedules are turned upside-down, we have decided to allow our Grace to Go writers and editors to take a break as well.  We have been privileged to provide you with a mid-week reminder of the Sunday message, along with application steps to make the message come alive. Last Sunday Pastor George gave us the challenge to LOVE, and that is the assignment we want to give you for the summer.  When asked what is the greatest commandment, Jesus replied:

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it, love your neighbor as yourself.”  Matthew 22:37-39 NIV

What a huge order!  How can we spend each day this summer loving God with ALL our heart, soul and mind, and loving others?

Apply It

1. Read your Bible.

Take a few minutes each day to connect with the God of the universe through His living word.  Spending a little time each day will start you off on the right path and bolster you for what could possibly be a crazy day.

2. Pray.

Each day, ask God to reveal himself to you throughout the day, and help you understand what it means to love Him with your heart, mind and soul.  Ask Him to help you see others through His eyes.

3. Love!

Look for ways to love God by sharing what He has done for you.  Whether in basic daily interactions or in stressful situations, remind yourself to look at others as those whom Christ loved enough to die on the cross – and love them.

That should keep you busy all summer!  I would love to hear your feedback about this ministry and how you have been encouraged by Grace to Go.  Also, if you have interest in being a part of the Grace to Go team, please let me know.  Email me at holly.elliott@findgrace.org.

Have a blessed summer,
